I really enjoyed those old "Walter" threads on GS (at least I think that was the username). IIRC correctly, I think there was a theory that Fletcher was behind "Walter", but I don't think anyone ever uncoverred the true identity. Virtuosic trolling that was.

I thought Lycra was what sponaneously appeared when you play in Lydian and Locrian modes simultaneously. I could be wrong, but I could swear I saw it happen once...

But "Lycra" refers to the common "DJ" practice of putting the same record on two turntables to stretch a groove, also know as "Span Decks"

That's really a stretch....

I can't decide whether I would be most irritated at this guy for being serious, or for making lousy satire, or for intentional trolling.

I don't know if I've ever personally witnessed this level of 'gang-punning'.  Interesting turn of events.  And on an engineering forum to boot.

Lace see, there seams to be a thread pattern here; it's more fun for a bunch of knitwits to needle someone spinning yarns than satin a chair and do lamé work. Now if you'll excuse me, I've gossamer fleecing of my employer to do.

That post is a major work. Will it sew up this thread? Stay turned.
