Goats and sheep are both domesticated animals that are kept in the same pens and pastures, but hybrid "geep" are extraordinarily rare. It's true that goats and sheep look very similar, but don’t be fooled, they are actually from different animal families called “genus” that include multiple different species. Sheep are from the “ovis” genus and have 54 chromosomes while goats are from the “capra” genus and have 60 chromosomes. Because they don’t have the same number of chromosomes hybrids are incredibly rare.

So is the 'cute' gene somewhere between 1 and 54?
