@Jesse - MOre than anything its the latency, I am still learning the console software of the UA twin mkii, and I am not sure what to mute to do this. In cubase there is a MONITOR button you need to hit to get the sound of the plug, anytime i hit that with anything it is that phasey sound. however this time its that and latency, i can't play the guitar at all to the best of any song even at 64 samples buffer. Like you suggested the guys on the UA forum said the same thing, mute the console input or something, but if i mute the input of course then there is no sound so i know its not that.
When you say the monitoring section that is probably it but i cannot find a mute or where that is. i have been watching some of their youtube videos and others stuff and the manual but so far no go. although everyone says that once i figure it out i should be able to play it fine at 64 buffer, but i really am not sure, its only slightly out but its noticeable to me at least.
compared to using an actual UA plug with the onboard DSP its very different. the DSP plug is perfect and easy to use, but using these amp sims is proving a headache. I also know the sound isnt as good, again fro me at least, as other things like amps, but i just want them for the effects, and the ability to combine things for leads, or quirky rhythm parts and save them and recall them for ideas. SO far though i am sepnding way more time just getting them to work than playing lol
