If we're talking about impractical vehicles to get moving violations in, then I'll take a Porsche 930 Turbo circa 1979-89. No slant nose. Ugly slant noses.

I don't really think there's an ugly 911-type model. Some look better than others, but I wouldn't call the slant-nose ugly. A Yugo was ugly.

My cousin is selling his original SRT-8 Challenger, I think it has 18,000 miles on it.

He's also got a garage full of old, restored Mopars... maybe I can talk him into doing something like the 69 Daytona trick!

Keith, I have a Volvo V50 wagon, it's great. It's not a barge like the XC70, has plenty of power and is nimble. I recommend it highly.

I'm a 911 purist. The slant nose 911/930 is like, the ESP/LTD version of an SG. It's not an SG.

My dad had a 1970 911T when I was a little kid. Not a lot of power but fun, and we went on lots of "Sunday" drives when I was little enough to fit in the back. I puked once, car sick.

I can see how a purist could feel that way, though just as a car I wouldn't kick it out of the garage. I like SGs too.

Wowsers. Imagine the noise of several big beast V-8s being wrung through together!
There's a Soundfield project....

I can take some pics. -I remember when he bought it... about the same time as I bought my Audi, I think. He's a well-off owner, who takes particular care of his cars.

Tomorrow I go to pick up that BimmerWagen which will be for daily duties,. replacing the self-same Audi.

Correction on the mileage... it just turned over 10,000 miles, so even lower than I thought!
It's an 08 SRT with the 6.1L Hemi engine. number 145 of 6200 built that year... I'm awaiting pics.

The NYS Troopers use Chargers. The NYC police use a Ford Taurus Police Interceptor, along with a lot of more pedestrian stuff. I'd like to check out a Ford Taurus SHO. They come up cheap off lease.

Andy Hummel (bass player in Big Star)'s father had a Detomaso Mangusta, the model even above the Pantera! It was stunningly fast and sleek. I got to drive it once, but rode in it several times.
