Welcome, welcome to our new PRW Acoustics Forum, and our awesome new Moderator, Thomas Jouanjean.

For those few who may not know, Thomas and his company Northward Acoustics (including Silvia and Denis) are one of the world's top experts in acoustic design.  They have literally designed over 100 of the top studios, control rooms and Mastering rooms in the world.

Anyone with questions on making a room sound better, or types of acoustic treatments, etc...you could not come to a better place!

Welcome to PRW, and let the fun begin!

Bone joor Thomas, welcome to the forum!

I am always humbled by your knowledge and enthusiasm for acoustics, and value the time we have spent talking about this most mis-understood of topics.

I would be remiss in not mentioning that in addition to providing expert consultation on acoustics and studio design, Thomas also dabbles in questions of etiquette and diplomacy.

Hi Terry and thanks for this nice forum!

I hope this new section will grow to become a place where users find useful information, both practical and theoretical, that will help them manage the various problems that can be encountered in a studio environment.

That, and how to cut cheese properly.

Thank you all for the nice welcome!

An acoustics forum.  Excellent!

Welcome, Thomas.  Your arrival is quite timely, as I have a quick question;  I followed some internet advice and put old mattresses against all my walls, but my drums were still keeping the baby awake.  Then I learned that I should make the room air-tight, so I got tons of cellophane wrap and duct tape.  I can't be sure how much this has helped though, since I am unable to get out of the room to check.  Also, I'm beginning to feel a bit woozy...

Wow. Thomas I just watched your interview with Dave Pensado the other day (excelent btw) and was thinking that PRW was lacking an acoustics forum! So good to have you here.

I was thinking the exact same thing - the Pensado interview was excellent.

Welcome aboard, Thomas!

Hi Thomas! Thanks for holding point here. I haven't been around much lately,
but will be lurking around the acoustics wing for a while in an attempt to learn more!
I've already found a wealth of info here just reading thru the posts.
Cheers!
