A few weeks ago I did a project with drummer Bernard Pershey from Edgar Winter group The session went great and through word of mouth, Bernie also plays with Eric Turner guitar, and Martin Gerschwitz on KB. Great guys and looking forward to working with them. I've done several projects with Eric Turner and he came in cold today and laid down lead guitar tracks to a very unusual song he never heard before. I love working with seasoned musicians. They just seem to know exactly what and how to play with the right feel.

Here's one for those getting into the Christmas Spirit.

Recorded and mixed in 6 hours so we could throw it out to our fans and have a demo of the song for posterior sake.
It's already had a Chuck guitar part added to the intro and a few of the vocals fixed but I ain't putting it up again...until next year. :)

I hope it makes you smile

Merry Christmas from Priscilla's Revenge, just shy of where Santa lives.

Recorded local jam band Gordon Street.  8 songs, all overdubs, lead and BG vocals all done in 17 hours.  It's an amazing sounding record with some really great songs.

new record released

Finally finished this record of my tunes that I've been working on for a couple of years. We had a very successful sold out release. Now I'm trying to take it further without selling my soul to google and that ilk. Can't bring myself to consort with the enemy so far. So no facebook or youtube or anything except word of mouth and trying to play gigs where I can find them either solo or with a band.
For the next couple of weeks you can still hear the full MP3s at my site  www.loganmurray.net   Love to hear what you guys think. Take care, Logan

As a matter of possible interest to some of you, you might check out that Dave Hause record i posted the review link to, because all of the guitars were recorded with the Kemper modeling amplifier.

It sounds good. It sounds like he worked hard on the vocals... Kinda brings to mind 'Goo Goo Dolls' for me. In that one example, I'm kinda wanting to hear more vocals in the chorus sections(doubling, etc)...but that's fwiw.

Nice day working with Eyeshutight trio in my studio last week.
Writing and arranging material in the studio can be a fun thing and quite rare these days due to budget.
Quick film capture and sync up of one of the tracks in development - sans the bowed bass melody and double piano line that would be added. This is part of an album to be finished sometime later next year after the piano player comes off tour with Bonobo.

I work on this show a few times a month. In case you're not a fan of the show... I don't blame you.
Anyway, I handled the broadcast music mix on this performance. Live to tape. No fixes, no remixes.

Here's the latest set of lyrics for my duo "Bitchy & Cranky"

The Hotdog Song
Lyrics by, Paul Martineau, Dave Martineau, Fred LaRose and Norman Glowach January 3, 2017

On a stick in a fire you can burn em
On a barbecue grill you can turn em
In a pinch you can cook em in a nuker
On a steamed white bun they are super

Oh ears nose lips and dicks
Hips and tits and mystery bits
Oh ears nose lips and dicks
Where can I get a hotdog?

When a footlong’s cookin’ I can’t wait
For the sodium, fat and the nitrates
But I’ll be frank about the wiener
If sumpin’s better I ain’t seen er

Oh ears nose lips and dicks
Hips and tits and mystery bits
Oh ears nose lips and dicks
Where can I get a hotdog?

Necks ‘n backs, hooves ‘n knuckles
Innards, livers, and bellies so supple
Spleens ‘n colons, lungs ‘n tongues
Knees ‘n heels, snouts ‘n gums
Thighs n’ eyes and hair of carcass
And other gross bits like animal arses
Oh ears nose lips and dicks
Where can I get a hotdog?

If you top em with mustard and onions
Tomato and ketchup you will love em
And before you finish you will wonder
If you’ve got the room for another

Oh ears nose lips and dicks
Hips and tits and mystery bits
Oh ears nose lips and dicks
Where can I get a hotdog?

OK it's cold here

Here's a tune I wrote a while back. This one's called Next Year. A demo of it, with lyrics...nothing finished.

https://soundcloud.com/user-178830669-340117975/next-year-demo

Next Year

Someday
Someday I'll catch up with you
Not sure that I ever knew
Who you were

And when
And when I saw you laugh
Your smile wrote a paragraph
Down for me

It's no surprise to see you leave again
I was wrong but now it's clear
Out of time and I've got to go
Maybe I'll see you next year

You know that I
I can be such a fool
Cause you were right that I hardly knew you
At all

It's no surprise to see you leave again
I was wrong but now it's clear
Out of time and I've got to go
Maybe I'll see you next year

I remember when you said to me
Baby please don't leave me here
And I swore I'd never leave
Maybe I'll see you next year
Out of time and I've got to go
Maybe I'll see you, see you next year
