Here's a handy list of basic navigation techniques. Some you obviously know, but maybe some you don't.

vertical and horizontal scroll bars

-clicking and dragging horizontal bar moves horizontally

-clicking and dragging vertical bar moves vertically

-clicking and dragging either end of the horizontal bar zooms in and out horizontally

-double clicking on the horizontal scroll bar will fit the whole project horizontally into the window

-double clicking (single click on OSX) on the vertical scroll bar toggles through three vertical track sizes, minimum, normal, and maximum.

Click and drag up or down on lower border of track in TCP. This will increase/decrease the track height of a single track.

Ctrl Click (Apple key in OSX) and drag up or down on lower border of track in TCP.This will increase/decrease the track height of all tracks.

up arrow or + = zoom in horizontally

down arrow or - = zoom out horizontally

Pageup = Zoom in vertically

Pagedown = Zoom out vertically

left/right arrow = moves the play/edit cursor left or right.

mousewheel in the tcp - horizontal zoom

mousewheel in the track control panels of the tcp – vertical zoom.

ctrl page up - zooms in to a selected area. (Apple page up on OSX)

ctrl page down - zooms all the way out. (Apple page down on OSX.)

jump to a specific time, marker, or region - Ctrl J (Apple J in OSX)

Home = go to start of project

End = go to end of project

Fired! Forgot REAPER Chat

If anyone needs realtime help, there is a REAPER chatroom on mixxnet...its variously busy and dead, but if you type a question, an answer will pop up sooner or later

Here's how to get to it as a weblink

http://www.mixxnet.net/java/?channel=reaper

If you are IRC savvy, its
server: irc.mixxnet.net
channel: #reaper

if all else fails, I have a little chat applet on my page you can enter through, but its a tiny window

Great to see the Reaper love here!!

Amen!!

Just looking around and thought say "Hello".

The Reaper Sub forum appears to be evolving into a very useful resource of its own.

This is an area where we can share links to videos, books, and other sources of Reaper information. Some are free, some are commercial products. To start.....[url][url]http://www.groove3.com/str/reaper-training-videos/

Bought this one (for $20 wow).  Such a great pack of vids for the 'new to Reaper' crowd!

Well worth the tiny fee.  The "Advance Zooming", "Advanced Scrolling", and "A/B'ing Plugins" alone are worth the price of admission.

A must have.

There's a great "Tip Of The Day" thread over on the Reaper forum here:

http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=41693

Lots of key commands and short-cuts etc.

They have posted a condensed version here as well:

Well worth checking both out.

Tim,

There's a current discussion of this in the Reaper forum....

http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=115712&highlight=eucon

Probably the most effective way of getting new stuff implemented is by voting in the Feature Requests sub-forum. There's a vote thread already set up for Eucon support. 106 "yes" votes. If the devs see more votes, they will prioritize the  feature.
